AARP TAX-AIDE Program
The AARP Tax-Aide program is a service for the preparation and electronic filing of NJ and Federal personal tax returns offered at many libraries and senior center.
The Princeton Public Library is one of the locations for this program. It is by appointment only, on Monday mornings. Call 609-924-9529, ext. 1220, or stop by the Information Desk to schedule an appointment.
Other locations include the Princeton Senior Resource Center, the Nassau Presbyterian Church, as well as senior centers in Hamilton and Lawrence and other area public libraries. Most require an appointment and offer assistance on specific days and times. For locations, hours and more information, check the AARP Tax-Aide Locator.
The AARP Foundation also offers a virtual tax preparation service. Please visit the AARP Foundation website for more information.

Tax Forms at Princeton Public Library
Visit this section frequently for the most up-to-date information on the availability of print forms and instruction booklets.

Forms and the photocopier are located in the Business Center on the second floor. Photocopies are 20 cents per page.
The library’s public PCs and iMacs can be used to download and print tax forms and instructions, or you can download and print from your own device using our wireless printing option. If you use our wireless printing from home, you will need to visit the library and pay for and release your print job within 24 hours. All printing is 20 cents per page.
New Jersey no longer provides hard copies of forms to libraries; see the New Jersey section below for information on obtaining state tax materials.

For Preparing New Jersey Tax Returns
Visit the New Jersey Division of Taxation website to access downloadable printable forms, e-file instructions for individuals and businesses, and more:

Vita Tax Assistance
The Vita tax assistance program, managed by the IRS, also provides free tax help and has multiple locations throughout New Jersey. Use the VITA Locator Tool to find the site nearest you. NJ211 also lists a number of these sites. The United Way of Greater Mercer County in Lawrenceville is a nearby Vita site in Mercer County.
