Janie's earliest memories involve reading and she is happiest when she is ensconced in a good book , which is oftentimes a multi-generational family saga. Janie oversees public programming at PPL and much of her reading is related to the 50-plus author events that she arranges each year for the library. She is a fan of both contemporary and historical fiction as well as memoirs, short stories, and psychological thrillers. Janie makes a special effort to keep up with Canadian books and authors as a way to stay connected to the place where she grew up.
