In Conversation: Anne-Marie Slaughter and Amaney A. Jamal – A Library and Labyrinth Livestream Event

This recording is presented in partnership by Princeton Public Library and Labyrinth Books. Slaughter discusses her book “Renewal: From Crisis to Transformation in Our Lives, Work, and Politics” with Jamal, the new dean of the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.

Anne-Marie Slaughter is president and CEO of New America, a think tank and civic enterprise with offices in Washington and New York. She is also the Bert G. Kerstetter ’66 University professor emerita of politics and international affairs at Princeton University. From 2009-2011 she served as director of policy planning for the United States Department of State, the first woman to hold that position. Among other books, Slaughter is the author of “Unfinished Business: Women Men Work Family.”

“Renewal” is described by Princeton University Press as “a story of crisis and change that can help us find renewed honesty and purpose in our personal and political lives.”

Amaney Jamal is the Edwards S. Sanford Professor of Politics at Princeton University and the new dean of the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.
