The Princeton Children’s Book Festival
The Princeton Children’s Book Festival returns Saturday, Oct. 8, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. as an outdoor, in-person event. We are excited to come back together under the tents on Hinds Plaza next to the library and expect it will be a joyful celebration of books and the people who make and read them. Over 30 acclaimed authors and illustrators in children’s literature will be on-site to meet, interact with and sign books for young readers. Book sales are handled by our festival partner jaZams with 20 percent of the proceeds donated to the library’s Youth Services Department. 2022 featured artwork is created by local author and illustrator, Patrick McDonnell, who will be joining us for a special edition of Saturday Stories at 10:30 a.m. on the 3rd floor of the library before the festival kicks off at 11:00 a.m.
Fall Fest at Princeton Shopping Center
Enjoy the beauty of the season at Princeton Fall Fest with 80+ vendors, live music and plenty of fall-themed foods. The family-friendly fun begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m. on October 22 in Princeton Shopping Center’s courtyard green.
Dress up in your best costume and join the Arts Council of Princeton for the Annual Hometown Halloween Parade on Friday, October 28. The fun begins at 5:15 p.m. on Palmer Square before the parade makes its way through Downtown Princeton and ends at the Princeton YMCA. The parade will leave Palmer Square Green promptly at 5:45 p.m. The festivities continue at the YMCA with trunk or treat and more family-friendly activities.
