World Language Storytimes
In-person world language storytimes are returning to the library! Join us for stories, songs, rhymes and fun in Spanish on Sunday, November 13, at 2 p.m. and in Japanese on Saturday, November 19, at 1 p.m. Both of these monthly storytimes are intended for children ages 2 years old and up with an adult caregiver. Be sure to check our online events calendar for additional dates in upcoming months, as well as storytimes in additional languages coming in 2023. And don’t forget the ongoing virtual storytime series Little Pandas for stories in Mandarin available on demand on the library’s YouTube channel.
Native American Heritage Month Picture Books
Celebrate Native American Heritage Month this November with this selection of picture books for young children that highlight the Native American experience, Native American storytellers, and Native American history and culture. You can also join us in the Virtual Story Room as we celebrate and share books created by Native American authors and illustrators.
Annual Tree Lighting in Palmer Square
Kick off the holiday season on the Green at Palmer Square in Princeton and watch as the town lights all 32,000 lights atop the square’s 65-foot-tall Norwegian Spruce. This annual festive event will also feature traditional musical performances and a whole lot of holiday fun, including keeping an eye out for Santa. You never know where he might pop up! Friday, November 25, at 5 p.m.
Twelve Dinging Doorbells by Tameka Fryer Brown
This new picture book takes a familiar Christmas song and gives it an “every-holiday carol” twist. As a family gathers for a holiday reunion, each doorbell ding fills the house with joy and excitement. Mushroom Lullaby by Kenneth Kraegel
