Summer may have had its unofficial kickoff a couple of weeks ago, but this season doesn’t truly come into its glory in Princeton until best-selling author Jennifer Weiner comes to town. Jennifer’s annual visit is always an incredible treat, as she entertains, enthralls, and has us laughing until our stomachs hurt. This year, we’re kicking things up a notch and hosting Jennifer at our Book Lovers Luncheon on Thursday, June 19th at 12 p.m. at The Nassau Club. Tickets are still available. Jennifer’s latest novel, “All Fall Down,” is publishing just two days before her visit and is poised to follow in the footsteps of her previous books, “Good In Bed,” “In Her Shoes,” and “The Next Best Thing,” which all reached #1 on the “New York Times” best-seller list. “All Fall Down” tells the story of Allison Weiss, a woman who seemingly has it all – a successful career as a blogger, a beautiful home, and a loving family. When the struggles of raising her difficult daughter are compounded by illness in her aging parents, Allison turns to painkillers to ease her stress. Things begin to spiral out of control, however, as her addiction intensifies and her attentions shift from caring for her family to feeding her need for pills.
In addition to a lovely three-course lunch, all ticketholders will receive a hardcover copy of “All Fall Down,” which Jennifer will sign after her talk. But that’s not all! Each table at the lunch will feature a Princeton Public Library staff member who will share all of the buzz-worthy summer titles you will want to have on your reading list in the coming months. Not only will we guide you in your selections, but we will also have ARCs (advanced reader copies) of yet-to-be-published books coming out this fall! What does this all mean? It means you will be able to get your hands on copies of titles by your favorite authors, discover brand new writers, and read some great books months before they become available to the general public.
