Nora, an adult services librarian at PPL, watched a lot of odd, dark fantasy films during her formative childhood years, and that helped build a lifetime love of reading and watching works of fantasy, science fiction, and speculative fiction written for all ages. She likes compelling characters, quests, and stories of friendship against the odds. She also enjoys old movies, 19th-century British literature, memoir, and the occasional work of contemporary fiction. If she's not listening to an audiobook, she enjoys listening to podcasts that discuss and go behind the scenes of books, music, and movies as well as those that tell stories, including Binge Mode, Song Exploder, Office Ladies, How Did This Get Made?, and LeVar Burton Reads.
