Irish-American Heritage Month

The first recorded celebration of Irish-Americans in the United States dates back to 1762 with the first St. Patrick's Day parade in New York City. In October 1990, Congress passed Public Law 101-418 establishing March as Irish-American Heritage Month. Since that time presidents have issued annual proclamations designating March for the observance and celebration of Irish-American Heritage Month. This list contains a variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction, about the Irish in America and also penned by Irish-American authors.
