Let reading color your world this summer

Celebrate the official start of summer at the library by joining our annual Summer Reading program, beginning June 15. Open to readers of all ages, we invite you to reflect, investigate and interact with the world around you and see how “Reading Colors Your World.”

Children and teens who log at least 20 days of reading will be entered in our raffle. We’ll have multiple winners, and the more you explore worlds real and imagined, the more entries you can earn. We’ll have activities like writing reviews, connecting with the community around you, and celebrating the many voices in the world.

Adults are invited to go on a reading journey through Pantone colors. Each color has a mood and a theme to inspire your reading choices. Immerse yourself in a variety of perspectives through the lens of literature. Collect 6 colors to be entered into a grand prize drawing to win Individual Plus annual passes to the Grounds for Sculpture.

As with last year, participants can keep score of their progress online through Beanstack and earn virtual badges along the way. Printable copies are also available for the offline approach. You’ll have until August 15 to complete the challenge. We hope you’ll take inspiration from the works of Hervé Tullet, artist for this year’s children’s and teen’s program, and spend the summer mixing it up!
