Princeton Environmental Film Festival – FAQ

All screenings are free of charge.

We use Eventive as our film streaming platform. You will need to sign up for a free account with Eventive to access the films.

Please browse the film guide and reserve films for viewing. Films will be available to stream April 8-14. Most films being shown in person will be available to stream online following the screening.

All festival screenings are free thanks to the generosity of our sponsoring institution, Princeton Public Library, and other sponsors.

Do I need tickets for in-person screenings?
All screenings held in the Community Room at the library are free, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no advance tickets.

Tickets are required for the screening of “The Arc of the Oblivion” at the Princeton Garden Theatre. Ticketing is through the Garden.

When can I watch online and how long do I have to watch?
UNLOCK WINDOW: The virtual festival begins April 8. With the exception of “399: Queen of the Tetons,” “Inundation District” and “Qotzuñi: People of the Lake,” films that have an in-person screening will be available to stream online.

Films will be available through the conclusion of the festival on Sunday, April 14, at 11:59 p.m., barring any screening limits that apply to specific films. If any film exceeds our capacity limits it will be listed as sold out.

WATCH WINDOW: Once you click play, you may pause, but you will have 24 hours to finish viewing the content.

All unlock and watch windows close at 11:59 p.m. on the last day of the festival, April 14.

I reserved a film or program but am being prompted to unlock it again. What do I do?
Please confirm that you are logged in with the same email address or Facebook login you used to reserve the film(s). You can log in using the login link at the upper right corner of the screen, or if you are not logged in at all you’ll be prompted to log in after clicking “Unlock Now.”
Can I rewind or start a program over?
Yes, you have complete access to the entire program during your watch window.
Is there a way to create a watch list?
You can create a watch list using the My Content Library feature in the virtual festival. Add content to your library by unlocking the films that you would like to watch within the player.

Go to peff.eventive.org and make sure you are signed in to your account in the upper right corner.

To view your Content Library, click your initials in the upper right corner, and from the drop-down menu, select My Content Library.
Once you click “Unlock” you will be able to watch the film anytime within the dates of the festival. Note: Do not click “Watch Now” (or press play) until you are ready to watch the film. Once you press “Watch Now,” you have 24 hours to watch the film.
