2025 Update

After discussions with staff and community partners, the library has decided to put Princeton Children’s Book Festival on hiatus. This pause will give us the opportunity to explore new ways to connect our young patrons with authors and illustrators throughout the year. Thank you to the Princeton community, our partners and the authors, and illustrators who made the festival a success for the past 18 years. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.

About the Festival

The Princeton Children’s Book Festival held outside the library on the Albert E. Hinds Community Plaza.

The event is an opportunity for young readers to meet and interact with favorite authors and illustrators, hear about their work and inspiration and have their books signed.

The mission of the Princeton Children’s Book Festival is to encourage reading and spark a lifelong love of books. The festival aims to present young readers with a diverse and inclusive range of voices and to strengthen the connection between the stories they read and the people who create them.

Book sales for the festival are handled by local independent bookseller jaZams with a portion of proceeds benefitting the library.
