Book Banning in the U.S.

Monday, June 1, 6 p.m. at a private residence in Princeton

Join the Friends & Foundation of Princeton Public Library for an Around Town fundraising event Monday, June 1, featuring a conversation on the alarming rise of book bans in America.

The discussion brings together Cheryl Davis, general counsel of The Authors Guild, who is leading its challenges of book bans nationwide; and Patricia McCormick, author of “SOLD,” one of the most frequently banned books in the U.S. Eliza Griswold, director of Princeton University’s program in journalism, will moderate.

This timely event, held at a private home in Princeton, will explore free expression, access to literature and the future of intellectual freedom. The evening will include drinks and dinner.
