Book Submission Guidelines and Form for Authors

Book Submission Guidelines

Authors may submit a Book Submission Form for Authors to have their published book considered for the Princeton Public Library collection. The library’s materials selection team reviews all submissions once every month. Please allow four to five weeks for a response to your inquiry via email. The materials selection team may request a copy of the book pending review. Please do not send the book without an official request.

Please note that only materials submitted through this form will be considered and responded to. Materials and requests sent to the library without the Book Submission Form for Authors will not be considered.

Material selection is subject to the following:

  • Must meet the library’s existing collection development guidelines.
  • One submission per title; repeated submissions will not be considered.
  • Limit of two submissions per author per year.
  • All library materials are subject to periodic weeding.
  • Cataloging is up to library discretion.
  • Ordering availability – the library prefers to acquire material through established library vendors.
  • Print materials only (no e-books).
  • Donation policy – any donated items will become library property and will not be returned.
  • Author’s original work (no copyright issues or A.I. text or illustrations).
