Let’s cook

Princeton is a town of foodies. The evidence is in the recent explosion of unique and upscale restaurants downtown and the multitude of specialty food shops in the area catering to those who like to explore the culinary arts in their own kitchens. Cookbooks remain perennial favorite items to check out at the library or purchase at the Friends Used Book Store, even with dozens of places online to explore and save a vast array of recipes.

Dr. Henry Giroux to speak at library on May 18

On the evening of Friday, May 18, at 7, the library will present a special lecture on "The Crisis of Youth in the Age of Disposability" by Dr. Henry Giroux, a renowned cultural critic and a prolific author who has published over 40 books and more than 300 articles on culture and media studies, education and political theory.

Read local

Following the trend that encourages communities to shop local and eat local, the library has a day each spring where we encourage you to meet local authors and then take the opportunity to truly read local. It is a full day of events and a great chance to meet the local literati.
Local Author Day (Saturday, Mar. 24, 10 am) is in its 4th year and it is bigger and better than ever with more than 40 authors taking part in the festivities. This is a day where local authors get a chance to shine and share their talent with the community.
