June 2023 | Racial Literacy Students

This recording is presented in partnership by Princeton Public Library and Not In Our Town Princeton. Princeton High School racial literacy students offer their annual presentation in person at the library.

The goal of racial literacy is not a singular destination, instead it is an open acknowledgement that literacy is multi-faceted and requires a life-long commitment to a growth mindset. In the case of racial literacy, it is that which allows us to take steps toward courageous conversations with those closest to us, as a means to transfer light to those we love. Tonight’s experience will provide insight into the journeys of several student pioneers who embraced the challenge. Students will share insights about the asymmetry of racial domination and their experiences in the racial literacy class as they present on their individualized research from the semester.
