This year marks the 11th year we are hosting the Princeton Student Film and Video Festival, on July 16 and July 17, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A visual smorgasbord of sights, sounds, music and motion, this curated film buffet has a mix of genres and themes. We promise two evenings of unique, entertaining and thought provoking movies, offered by 19 youthful filmmakers. Meet the students, ask them questions, and stick around afterwards for a sweet treat. Screenings are intended for teen and adult audiences.
The festival is open to students, ages 14 to 25, and many of the local student filmmakers selected for screenings will attend to introduce their films and engage in a Q&A with the audience. Comedy, drama, science fiction, personal narratives, action films, documentaries, and animated films are on the program.
Each year the film screening committee is amazed by the quality of submissions from both budding and accomplished student filmmakers, and we see films submitted from around the world. One by one we debate and select the cream of the crop and put together two nights of programs for the community to enjoy. Thanks and recognition to all of the student filmmakers who submitted their work for the festival!
And mark your calendars: we’ll be showing additional selections from international submissions on Sunday, September 14 at 2 p.m.
