We have the latest in technology for multimedia production and productivity

Classes:

The class calendar for technology classes can be viewed from the library's website by going to Attend then selecting Technology or by clicking here. We have print brochures in the library with the full listings of courses.

On a monthly basis we typically offer a wide array of classes, from Microsoft Office to iPad Basics to Downloadable eBooks and Audiobooks. To inquire about upcoming classes please call 609.924.9529 x220 or send email to refstaff@princetonlibrary.org.

Gadgets:

We offer a variety of technology items for your convenience. The library has adapters for your devices and several SD Card Readers which are compatible with micro cards. They read images, video and music. To use one of these items please go to the Reference Desk, you will be asked to leave an ID while you use these items.

We also have an iDapt universal charger that can charge three devices on the top and has a USB connector on the side. We currently have 8 interchangeable tips to accommodate many devices, including the iPhone 5. We have a mini USB tip, 2 micro USB tips, 2 iPod/iPhone tips, a Samsung 4 tip, a Nokia 2 tip and an adapter for the iPhone 5. Please bring your device to the Reference Desk for charging. 

Computers and Software:

In addition to the Technology Center, the library has 100 multimedia computers distributed throughout the building that are available for public use. Headsets are required for watching movies or listening to CDs. Earbuds are available for purchase at all of our service desks. All of the terminals are equipped with the Microsoft Office Suite and access to the Internet.

Wireless Access at the Library:

Wireless Internet is available free to any library customers with WIFI enabled laptops and wireless devices. The entire library building and plaza next to the library is a WIFI Hotspot.

Customers with laptops can also connect to the Internet for free via our wired Ethernet network. The library is equipped with study tables that have plug in access. Ethernet cables are available for loan at the Reference Desk on the 2nd Floor.
