Bring in 2014 with a New Year’s resolution that you’ll still be talking about in the spring, summer and fall. Rather than pressuring yourself to accomplish the most popular resolutions according to USA.gov, why not resolve to visit Princeton Public Library and enhance your tech know-how by attending our technology classes?
Our new technology series, running January through June, features eleven new sessions along with classes that have become favorites among our customers. Many of these classes are offered twice, with others that will be scheduled again later in 2014. Here are just a few that are certain to grab your interest:
- MSWord for Mac
- Evernote
- Learn to Download Our Digital Content
- iPhone 101
- Apps for iPhones, iPads & Android Devices
- Quickbooks on the Cloud (Register at princeton.score.org)
- Presenting Prezi
- Create a Gmail Account
- Microsoft Excel
- Pressgram: Filter & Publish Photos to WordPress
- Intro to Email Marketing Using MailChimp
- Intro to Social Networking Sites
Also planned for 2014 are regular sessions of our downloading workshops, where you can receive one-on-one assistance with accessing our eLibrary collections on your mobile devices. If you would like help in downloading our eBooks, audiobooks or digital magazines, schedule an appointment to bring in your device and meet with a library staff member. We will be glad to set you on the path to enjoying our collections in no time. The sessions are on the third Thursday of each month, with the exception of an additional session on Friday, January 3 – perfect timing to try out the new gadget you receive during the holidays.
Except for the Quickbooks session and downloading workshops, there is no registration for our technology classes. We encourage you to arrive in the Tech Center a few minutes before class to get a seat.
