Cutler, a local teacher and environmentalist, discusses her process in this virtual art talk with slides. Cutler started collecting, pressing and arranging flowers and leaves during walks near her home (through the local woods, meadows, neighborhoods, and her kind friends’ gardens) throughout the pandemic and her son’s very serious illness. These pieces became her “meditation.”
The artist describes the exhibit as “an invitation for each of us to slow down a little in our daily life and take notice of the plant growing in the sidewalk crack, your neighbor’s flower box, the meadow you drive by, the tree down the block just beginning to flower.”
