It’s time to mark those calendars, as the library’s fall technology education series is in full swing! New this season, we are offering several sessions that are great for those who want to learn more about designing, blogging, tinkering, branding, and email:
- Intro to Adobe Creative Cloud
- Etsy: The Online Marketplace
- Intro to Blogging with Google Blogger
- Getting the Most from Gmail
- Raster & Vector: The Building Blocks of Photoshop & Illustrator
In addition to these classes are another 42, including these on our September lineup: Intro to Email Marketing Using MailChimp; Personal Branding & Technology; Raspberry Pi; Mac Basics (now offered from 6-7:30 p.m.); Social Media Crowdsourcing; and Pinterest for Beginners. All of our classes are free and there is no registration necessary.
Thanks to volunteers from The Princeton Macintosh Users Group, the library is able to host another series of the very popular Ask the Mac Pros. These sessions are offered from October 13th through December 17th on Mondays from 4 to 6 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Drop by to ask our Mac Pros questions about your new iPad, iPhone, Mac Book, or Mac software such as the iOS, iPhoto or iMovie.
Do you want assistance setting up your computer or device so you can read or listen to digital books, magazines, and movies? We offer one-on-one appointments on the third Thursday of the month to help you learn to navigate the world of e-content. The Learn to Download our Digital Content sessions are a great way to familiarize yourself with digital content and to have your questions answered.
If you would like to know which software programs are available on the library’s public computers, view our software page. In addition to state-of-the-art software packages like Microsoft Office 2013 on all of our PCs, we have equipped two PCs and one iMac with Adobe Creative Cloud. You are welcome to make a reservation for one of the computers with the Adobe software to ensure its availability when you arrive; to do so, simply contact our Information Desk or stop by the PC reservation & print release station on the second floor.
