June is the gateway to the summer season– a busy month of milestones and activities. Getting ready to travel? Looking for something to read or listen to on your commute or while you work out? Or do you just want to keep your mind occupied while you garden, walk the dog, or clean the house? This month we encourage you to discover our handpicked collections of e-books and audiobooks on OverDrive and help the library get more good reads /good listens at the same time by helping us win a contest.
We took a challenge. By the end of June, if we beat our highest monthly circulation on OverDrive by 25 percent, we’ll win a $1,500 credit toward purchasing new content to add to our growing e-content collection. You can help us reach our goal by borrowing and downloading e-books and audiobooks from OverDrive.
To make that even easier, we’re introducing a new feature in our BiblioCommons online catalog that lets you search for downloadable OverDrive e-books and audiobooks and check them out immediately right from your “My PPL” account. You can download your title into your device, check the due date, and see your digital checkouts, all with a lot less fussing and clicking.
