Free music from Freegal


Did you know that Princeton Public Library has a database with thousands of songs that can be downloaded for free? Well, the rumors are true.The database is called Freegal Music and it allows any PPL card holder to download up to three songs a week for free.

Freegal offers music genres ranging from Pop and Rock to Country and Classical. You can find music by Kelly Clarkson, Mumford and Sons, Train, Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, Adele and thousands of other artists. All downloads are compatible with PCs, Macs, MP3 players and iPods, and there is even a Freegal app for patrons on the go. Downloads are quick and simple and all you need is your library card and an Internet accessible device to take advantage of this service.

Freegal can be accessed from the library website under our databases or you can download the Freegal app. Once you have entered your library card number you are ready to search for and download your favorite song, artist, or genre.
