Bio

From the author: I am at heart, an artist. Having studied interior design for a few years, I have a very keen sense for aesthetics and creating beautiful and functional living spaces. My small home in India designed and decorated by me was published in the Me Magazine of DNA in October 2006.

My love for cooking inspired me to author my first cookbook: Aromas of Sindh: 100 recipes from the
heart!
It is my miniscule contribution to the rich heritage of the world’s oldest culture from Indus Valley.
Each recipe is from the heart, desirous of preserving and furthering our cuisine and our culture across
the globe. My most recent cookbook is For the Greater Gur: 150 delectable desserts. This has dessert recipes using Jaggery (Gur) instead of sugar.

I am also a very keen Yoga enthusiast and practitioner and have been one for over 20 years. I find time to learn the Sitar (Indian string instrument) and Kathak (Indian Dance Form) and had the opportunity to perform a winning Kathak recital at the Lincoln Center of Performing Arts, NY along with my Guru and her troupe.
