Gabrielle Balkan’s non-fiction picture books delight readers ages 3-12 with curious and essential facts about the United States, animal record-breakers, and ground-breaking artists. Recommended by the National Council for the Social Studies-Children’s Book Council and International Literacy Association, Gabrielle’s books include The 50 States, Book of Bones: 10 Record-Breaking Animals, and Who’s That Dinosaur: An Animal Guessing Game. She grew up ice skating on the Indiana State Fairgrounds and now hides geocaches with her twin 7th graders in the Hudson Valley.
