Exhibition Requests

Exhibition Request Form

Step 1 of 2

Artists or groups interested in displaying their art at Princeton Public Library should fill out this form. While we may not be able to accommodate every request or honor every aspect of a request, the library makes every effort to support artists from the community. Preference is given to artists who live within a 25 mile radius of the library.

Please visit the library’s Exhibitions webpage to familiarize yourself with the format we use to promote exhibitions. Exhibitions are planned a minimum of six months in advance. If you have any questions about this form, please email Adult Programming Manager Janie Hermann.

Required Fields

Please provide below a jpg or jpeg file for a featured image or detail which you would like to show on the website.

The file for the image should be no larger than 100 KB and it should be precisely 700 pixels wide and 750 pixels tall (700×750). The functionality of the website depends upon limiting the file size and pixel aspect ratio in this way.

If you can’t provide a file which meets these parameters, please submit another image no greater than 1 MB. Files which do not meet the parameters detailed above may need to be cropped or otherwise edited by library staff. By submitting an image, you are agreeing that the library may host the image on its website and feature it alongside a white banner with text identifying your exhibition.

Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, Max. file size: 1 MB.
Please provide a title for your exhibition. Ideally, the title should be only a few words. You may provide a subtitle below.
Provide a general description of your exhibition, using no more than 130 characters.
If your exhibition has a subtitle, enter it here. On the website, this text will be separated from the title by a colon. Leave this field blank if you do not have a subtitle.
Artists and artists’ groups must display their work for a minimum of eight weeks. Shows generally run 12 weeks. Please identify dates that would be best for the display of your work. Note that these dates are only a request and the library may need to work out a mutually agreeable time for your exhibition.
Location(Required)
Where in the library would you like to display your exhibition?
Provide a description of your exhibition. This text will appear in the “About” field on the library’s webpage. Descriptions should be a few paragraphs long and include the themes and ideas behind the exhibition. Please use the third-person to provide a more objective description of the exhibition. Library staff are available to help write the description if needed.
