Anyone who has ever traveled with a young person has heard that question repeatedly. It’s difficult to keep children amused on long trips and there is only so much of the license plate game one can take. The Youth Services department offers a unique service called Book a Trip.
By filling out a simple form, in person or online, our staff will select a variety of materials that are guaranteed to please your little travelers. Just tell us what your child’s interests are and we will pull together an array of books, audio books, and music that will keep your child happy. Please give us a week to prepare your unique trip package and we’ll have it ready and waiting for you in Youth Services.
Maybe you are traveling with several children and they all have different interests, we have a solution for that too: the Playaway and Playaway View. Playaway is the only format that makes audiobooks accessible for everyone. They provide the portability of a digital audiobook with the grab-and-go convenience of a physical format. Unlike CDs or downloads, the Playaway doesn’t need a separate player. Playaways come preloaded and ready to use, all you need are your own headphones. Each View holds several hours of digital video content and they are simple to use, portable and durable. It’s a great device for children to read and view some of their favorite books.
