Bio

From the author: Fitzroy Dawkins, MD is a Black medical oncologist with more than thirty years of experience which includes a clinical oncology practice, clinical research, and the training of next-gen Black physicians at Howard University, a HBCU in Washington, DC. He attended Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, NY where he also completed three years of training as an internist. After a three-year hematology/oncology fellowship at the George Washington University Medical Center, Washington, DC he was appointed to the faculty of Howard University College of Medicine. Fourteen years later he transitioned to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries as a R&D physician. Starting at Johnson & Johnson, he has since transitioned to other biotech companies with increasing responsibility. He is the co-author of multiple papers in peer reviewed journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and Blood. Dr. Dawkins lives in the Princeton area. He is married, and the father of two girls who attended Princeton Day School.
