Goin’ mobile: new catalog app launches today

If you’re reading this on a smartphone – and our analytics tell us increasing numbers of you are – you now have an even better way to access library materials and manage your library account. Today we are launching a great app that provides a friendly and easy-to-use interface for our library catalog and account.  Please go to the iPhone App Store  or Android Marketplace and download our new catalog app (or search the app stores for “Princeton Public Library”).

This new app joins the smartphone-formatted version of our regular website (type www.princetonlibrary.org in your phone’s web browser) in enhancing the mobile experience for library users. The new smartphone catalog app, developed by our partners at BiblioCommons, will make it easier for you to browse our collection, borrow materials, place holds on unavailable items, and check your account status on your phone.

If you want to download and read library ebooks on your phone or tablet we highly recommend downloading these ebook platform apps too:

The first time you use these apps you will need to log in with your library card number and/or username/PIN. (If you want to download any ebooks in pdf format you will also need to have an adobe ID.)

So download the new app, check out the account features, download some ebooks, and let us know what you think of our mobile catalog experience!
