Now that it’s officially summer, be sure to stop by the library to get a start on your summer reading. The library offers programs for every demographic, from the smallest to the tallest, and the oldest to the youngest. All programs run through August 17, and share the theme, Libraries Rock!
Adults are invited to complete 20 challenges of the 40 listed in this booklet. The first 140 participants who turn in a completed log will receive a scratch-off card revealing a prize. Everyone who turns in a completed log will be entered into a grand prize drawing with prizes generously donated by local entities, including two tickets to any play in McCarter Theatre’s 2018-2019 season; a $50 gift card to Labyrinth Books; and a 4-pack of tickets to the Princeton Garden Theatre.
These are just a few lists featuring suggestions to help you complete some of the challenges. Check out the adult summer reading page for more.
Not yet an adult? Take the 20/20 Challenge! Read for at least 20 minutes a day, and when you have completed 20 days of reading, stop by the library to claim your free book and Thomas Sweet ice cream certificate. Registration for preschool (0-Pre-K), children (rising K – 5th grade), and teen (rising 6th-12th grade) summer reading programs closes August 1. Find more information on the summer reading page and check out some suggested reads from the youth services team.
See you at the library!
