English Conversation Groups
Practice your English conversation skills with other language learners in a warm and welcoming setting. This program, for intermediate and advanced speakers, is free and open to all. Virtual and in-person sessions are available. Many groups require registration. To register, click the link for the class you wish to attend on the current schedule of classes.

Learn English at the Library
This free, 14-week course is held in partnership with LiteracyNJ. Students must already have basic English skills and are expected to attend all 14 sessions. Registration is full.
This course runs weekly from September 22 to December 22 and will focus on building reading, writing, and speaking skills at a High Beginner Level. Students must already have basic English reading, writing and speaking skills to enroll and are expected to attend all 14 sessions. Examples of subjects to be covered in the course include: providing personal information, family relationships, filling out forms, locations and directions, clothes and colors, shopping and money, reading and writing checks, and reading receipts. An assessment will be given prior to the start of the series to ensure that all enrolled students will benefit from the course.
English Language Learning (ELL) Online
Through fun and engaging interactive lessons, Mango makes learning a new language fast, easy and effective. Available online through the library’s website or via an app on your mobile device.

The Language Learning neighborhood, in the second floor Reading Room, has grammar, conversation and vocabulary workbooks, dictionaries, CDs and phrasebooks for a variety of languages, including English.
