Underground Media: A Zine Workshop for Teens


Teens are invited to learn about the DIY underground media, zine magazines. A presenter from Philadelphia’s The Soapbox will run a workshop on the history and purpose of zine magazines as well as how to create a zine with a purpose.   Co-sponsored by the library and HiTOPS.


Teens-Only A Cappella Night


This annual, teens-only event features vocal groups from Princeton’s four high schools and is only open to students who attend the schools. The library will close at 6 p.m. for this event. Co-sponsored by the library, Corner House and the Princeton Alcohol and Drug Alliance.


Beasts in the garden


One of the first things that I do when I visit other public libraries when I travel – and I always visit other public libraries when I travel (thank you Lebanon (NH) Public Library for letting me print my boarding passes for free!) – is to check out their children’s section. And every library, no matter how small has a space set aside for children, with low rows of attractive picture books, irresistibly cute furniture sized specifically for little ones, and sometimes even special play areas for tactile learners.
