Third Floor Spaces

Explore, learn, play, design, and share ideas. The third floor is a destination for young people of all ages.
Attend a story time or baby playgroup. Find your favorite books and read them together. Receive homework help and access collections that support education. Have fun, try something new, and develop skills for future learning success.
Early Literacy Area

This space designed for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their families and caregivers provides a strong connection between reading and play. The Picture Book collection, located in browsing ins, and Board Book collection are readily accessible to young readers. |
Story Room
Little Lab

The Little Lab is a dedicated space for parents, caregivers and young children to explore a literacy-rich, creative and play-inspired environment. |
Nursing Room
 |
Nursing mothers are welcome to nurse their children anywhere in the library. The Nursing Room provides a semi-private, quiet space for nursing mothers. |
Independent Reader Area
 |
For those who are learning to read on their own, the Independent Reader Area includes the Beginning to Read collection as well as the Picture Book, Folk & Fairy Tales, and World Language collections.

CoLab Space

This light-filled, dedicated space for group work, including project work, homework help, study, and socializing. It houses youth collections useful for research and school projects including Nonfiction, Biography, and Reference. |
STEAM Studio
 |
In this programming space, young makers can attend programs that support STEAM learning objectives. The STEAM Studio will be outfitted with furniture, equipment, and emerging technologies that foster inquiry, design-thinking, and creativity.

Teen Center
 |
The Teen Center features YA Fiction, and Nonfiction, YA Graphic Novels, and a magazine collection with titles of interest to teens. The space has movable furniture to set up for independent or group work and comfy seating under the library’s signature skylight. |
