The Princeton Student Film Festival (established 2003) is sponsored by the Princeton Public Library. We provide the opportunity and venue for youth filmmakers to screen their work to a broad audience, with lots of appreciation and lively feedback.
There is no admission to attend the screenings, which are intended for a teen and adult audience.
For more information about the festival please contact Susan Conlon.
Eligibility
The festival is open to local, national and international high school and college students (and home-schooled, unschooled or not in school youth) ages 14-25.
Films should have a running time of 20 minutes or shorter.
Music used in the films should be original or be obtained from a royalty-free service. If not, please ensure you have paid or received permission for use.
Selection Process
Selected films will be screened by the Princeton Student Film Festival Selection Committee, which is made up of the festival coordinator, librarians and other library staff, and community members. Films are evaluated for their aesthetic and technical abilities. We highly value submissions that tell a good story. Decisions are made at the discretion of the committee and all decisions are final.
