A well-earned reputation as a good neighbor and community collaborator

Our closest collaborators are two organizations filled with passionate volunteer advocates, The Friends of the Princeton Public Library and the Princeton Public Library Foundation.

We work with government agencies to ensure that an essential service is run in an efficient and sustainable manner. We also have a special relationship with Princeton Public Schools, supporting student achievement and professional learning at all levels.

We are a frequent and eager collaborator with other non-profit organizations in town, including, but certainly not limited to, the Arts Council of Princeton, Corner House, HiTOPS, McCarter Theatre Center for the ArtsOpera New Jersey, the Princeton Festival, Princeton Adult School, the Princeton Senior Resource Center, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, Princeton University, Princeton University Press the Princeton Family YMCA, the YWCA Princeton and Sustainable Princeton.

The library is an anchor of a vibrant downtown and enjoys a healthy relationship with local companies and Princeton merchants, many of whom have shown generous support to the library over the years. A member of the Princeton Merchants Association and the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, the library received the chamber’s 2010 Community Leader of the Year Award.
