Join us at Princeton Shopping Center on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for an interactive event featuring books, songs, rhymes and movement for kids 18 months and older, accompanied by an adult family member or guardian. Please bring a blanket. Registration not required. If the weather is inclement, this program will be canceled and the library’s events calendar will be updated on the morning of the scheduled program.
This interactive, in-person story time features books, songs, rhymes, fingerplays and movement for children 2 years and up with parent or adult caregiver. Registration via the online events calendar will open every Monday at 10 a.m. for that week’s Thursday story time session. Wait list available.
Join us in the Virtual Storyroom as we share stories, songs and fun! Each week, we will be adding new “Storytime Shorts” to the library’s YouTube channel that children and families can enjoy from home whenever they want.
Create your own storytime! We’ve made it easy to do storytime with your children at home or in your classroom. Choose from themed storytime plans crafted by our Youth Services Librarians. Each plan contains a list of books followed by links to storytime songs sung by our staff and ideas for crafts and other activities. Mix and match from this plan to create your perfect Storytime At Home!
Students in grades K-3 are invited to join Youth Services staff for Lit Lab, where books meet hands-on maker activities! Each Lit Lab includes a book read-aloud and related maker activity to do at home, plus a curated list of other books, media and additional maker activities on the same theme. We also encourage families to share their own inspired creations by sending photos to kids@princetonlibrary.org or tagging @princetonpl on Instagram or Twitter.
