Unruly Sounds Music Festival

October 1, 2017, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Mika Godbole of Mobius Percussion curates this annual celebration of original music from Princeton University’s graduate music program (and other local musicians). The all-day event features performers on three stages and a wide variety of post classical/contemporary grooves.

Already in its third year, Unruly Sounds Music Festival is a one-day extravaganza of music from Princeton’s highly-acclaimed composition program. Various groups highlight the diverse voices of each composer. From 1 pm to 6 pm (and a little bit beyond), families, wanderers, dancers, children, and anyone out for a Sunday stroll is free to stop by Hinds Plaza. One can sit and muse, perhaps break into a little jig, leave for a cup of Small World Grumpy Monkey, and come back with a treasure from the Princeton Record Exchange. The atmosphere is casually festive with room to breathe and catch up with friends.
