Poets at the Library

Featured poets Hayden Saunier and Mimi Danson read from their works for 20 minutes each followed by an open-mic session.

Hayden Saunier is a poet, writer, and actor and the author of four poetry books. Her work has been awarded the Pablo Neruda Prize, Rattle Poetry Prize, Gell Poetry Award and has been nominated numerous times for a Pushcart Prize. Hayden is the founder of the poetry/improv group No River Twice and lives on a farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.



Elizabeth “Mimi” Danson is a longtime member of U.S.1 and has had many poems published in its pages since the 1980s. She has been a teacher, worked in publishing and run a small arts center. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New Review, Anon One, Fourth Genre and other journals. Her book, “The Luxury of Obstacles,” was published in 2006, and she is working on a new collection.
