PEFF Fall Forum Film: “The Silver Branch”

October 22, 2018, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The story of farmer-poet Patrick McCormack explores his relationship with the picturesque wilderness area of Western Ireland known as the Burren where his family has lived for generations. When, to give the area a much-needed economic boost, the government plans to build an interpretive center that would attract tourists in the area, McCormack becomes part of a court battle to halt its construction and preserve the area.  1 hour, 15 minutes.

“The Silver Branch” has been called a philosophical vision-poem about one man’s journey through life which underpins a search to reconnect with nature and culture as primary sources from which we learn a deeper understanding of ourselves and our surroundings.

This is a special event of the Princeton Environmental Film Festival.

Free, but tickets required. Tickets can be obtained from the Princeton Garden Theatre, click on 7:00.

Presented in collaboration with The Princeton Garden Theatre and NOFA-NJ.
