Library Live at Labyrinth: Kwame Anthony Appiah, “The Lies that Bind”

Kwame Anthony Appiah speaks on his new book “The Lies That Bind,” which explores the nature and history of the identities that define us and challenges assumptions about how identities work.

Appiah writes the “Ethicist” column for The New York Times and is the author of many influential books including “Cosmopolitanism,” “The Honor Code: How Moral Revolutions Happen” and, most recently, “As If: Idealization and Ideals.” He is professor emeritus at Princeton University and professor of philosophy and law at New York University.

Library Live at Labyrinth is a collaborative reading series between the library and Labyrinth Books. Events are in the lower level of the book store at 122 Nassau St.
