Library Live at Labyrinth: Joyce Carol Oates Introduces Three Debut Authors

Joyce Carol Oates will introduce three debut authors who will read from and discuss their new novels. The authors, all Princeton alumni, include Lillian Li, “The Number One Chinese Restaurant”; Rachel Lyon, “Self Portrait with Boy”; and Blair Hurley, “The Devoted.”

Oates is professor emeritus of creative writing at Princeton University and the acclaimed author of  “A Garden of Earthly Delights,” “We Were the Mulvaneys,” “Blonde,” “The Gravedigger’s Daughter,” “The Accursed,” “The Falls,” and “Them,” which won the National Book Award.

The event is free, but a ticket is required. Tickets can be picked up on a first-come, first-served basis at Labyrinth Books during store hours starting on Oct. 5 and are limited to 2 tickets per person. Empty seats will be filled 10 minutes prior to the start time of the event.

Library Live at Labyrinth is a collaborative reading series between the library and Labyrinth Books.  This event is also presented in collaboration with Princeton University’s Lewis Center for the Arts.  Events are in the lower level of the book store at 122 Nassau St.
