Lecture: John Burkhalter: “Even More About Baroque Music”

Early music expert and performer John Burkhalter, artistic director of The Practitioners of Musick, discusses Baroque music and instruments with a focus on pieces being performed during the The Princeton Festival’s 2020 season. The Baroque era is a period or style of Western art music composed from approximately 1600 to 1730. It is a period when composers and musicians made changes in musical notation and developed new instrument playing techniques.
