Ellen G. Friedman, professor of English at The College of New Jersey and founding coordinator of the Holocaust and Genocide Studies Program, explores the challenges of oral history and why and how we share generational stories. The daughter of Holocaust survivors, Ellen G. Friedman was born in Kyrgyzstan in the Soviet Union while her parents were on the run from Hitler. Her new book, “The Seven, A Family Holocaust Story” is a family memoir.
