An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, happening 12 times

Join us for a 12-week course that will cover basic English needed for everyday living in the United States. 

Registration is required, as space is limited. Classes will be held weekly from September 24 to December 12 on Tuesday afternoons from 1pm to 2pm. Students are expected to attend all 12 classes in the course. Attendance at a pre-qualifying skills assessment session is also required and will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 1pm at the library. Fill out this form to register

Topics covered will include:

  • Review of present vs present progressive tense
  • Past tense, including pronunciation of “ed” ending of regular verbs & irregular verbs
  • Asking and answering questions
  • Food & holidays
  • Count & non-count nouns
  • Quantifiers (much, many, a lot, a little, a few, some, any)
  • Housing
  • Reading & interpreting a lease
