J.A.Z.B.C. Jazz Performance (formerly known as Applied Harmony)

J.A.Z.B.C. jazz band performs a concert as the concluding event of Jazz Appreciation Month and to help kick-off Communiversity.

J.A.Z.B.C. is a jazz combo comprised of some of New Jersey’s most highly regarded jazz musicians. Allison Spann is pursuing Theater Arts at Princeton University and is an alumnus of Princeton High School’s Studio Band. Gabriel Bar-Cohen, drums, is currently a member of the Princeton High School Studio band and will be attending Manhattan School of Music in the fall. Jacob Polly, piano, a Studio Band alumnus and member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra, will be attending Columbia University in the fall. Zeke Levine, bass, is a graduate of University of Texas at Austin and an alumnus of Studio Band.

Weather permitting, the band will perform on Hinds Plaza. In case of inclement weather, the concert will happen in the library’s community room.

Note: This is the latest incarnation of the combo formerly known as Applied Harmony.
