Fred Miller Lecture in Song: “Heaven, I’m in Heaven!”

Sunday, June 30, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

A salute to the sun, moon, stars & romance in American popular song by pianist, singer and library favorite Fred Miller.

Where would the great lyricists of American Popular Song´s golden age have been without those shiny images that light up our sky and fill the Universe? This lecture-in-song covers music from  the early days of Tin Pan Alley to the sophisticated heights of American Pop’s mid-twentieth-century heyday. The inspiration provided by nature´s wonders beyond our world is as limitless and boundlessly expressive as the Cosmos.

Part of the “Universe of Stories” summer reading program.
