Film and Panel Discussion: “Don’t Talk about the Baby”
March 16, 2019, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

“Don’t Talk About the Baby” is the first documentary to explore the cultural stigmas surrounding pregnancy loss and infertility.
This documentary explores the culture of shame and silence surrounding miscarriage, stillbirth and infertility. Too many men and women suffer in silence, and this film will be a tool for people to start conversations and spread awareness. Through expert interviews and personal stories, this documentary thoroughly explores why a woman feels the way she does after a loss, and how her community can support her. It examines the male voice in fertility and loss, and empowers families to break their silence and start telling their stories.
Following the screening, a panel will discuss the issues raised in greater depth. The panelists are:
- Ann Zamudio, director/producer of “Don’t Talk about the Baby”
- Krista Gervon, producer of Don’t Talk about the Baby
- Sheri Hovdestad, reproductive mental health therapist
- Jodi LaBow, Chair of the Pregnancy Loss Support Program (PLSP) Board of Advisors
