Chess for Beginners

This session is for 6- to 12-year-olds who want to learn to play chess. Intended for children who can identify the chess pieces and know how they move, the program will be conducted by local chess instructor and U.S. Chess Federation National Master Ben Johnson. Children will be taught basic strategies and have time for supervised play. Participation is limited to 20 and registration is required through the library’s events calendar.
