Book Talk: Clifford Zink talks about The Princeton Eating Clubs

December 12, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The majestic Eating Clubs lining Prospect Avenue have been the center of Princeton University’s undergraduate social life since the late 19th century, and they continue to provide homes away from home for tens of thousands of alumni when they return to campus for athletic events and Reunions. Now for the first time, the origins, evolution and architectural grandeur of the Eating Clubs are described in a captivating manner with many delightful archival images and handsome current photographs. Researched and created by Princeton-based author and historic preservation consultant Clifford W. Zink, The Princeton Eating Clubs portrays the eleven extant Eating Clubs plus five former eating clubhouses now owned and operated by the University for academic purposes.

The publication of The Princeton Eating Clubs was initiated and supported by Princeton Prospect Foundation, a charitable entity that receives tax deductible donations from alumni directed to their eating clubs to specifically support their architectural and historical significance.
