PSO Soundtracks: “The Red Violin”

 “The Red Violin,” directed by François Girard will be shown as part of the PSO Soundtracks series.  A perfect red-colored violin inspires passion, making its way through three centuries over several owners and countries, eventually ending up at an auction.  The film’s score, composed by John Corigliano and featuring violinist Joshua Bell, won an Academy Award in 2000.  Rated R. 2 hours, 11 minutes.
