Youth Summer Reading

Who Can Participate?

Summer reading is for all ages! “All Together Now” is the theme for the 2023 Early Reader (birth to Pre-K), Kids (rising K to 5th grade), and Teen (rising 6th to 12th grade) programs.

Learn about Summer Reading for Adults.

How Does It Work?

For Teens and Kids, take the 20 day challenge! Read for at least 20 days (in a row or not!) to earn a virtual badge and prizes.

For our Early Reader participants, complete 15 of 20 early literacy activities to complete summer reading and earn prizes.

When Does It Happen?

Summer Reading begins Thursday, June 15, and the program ends on August 15, 2023. Please log your completed reading and activities by August 15. Final day to claim prizes is September 5, while supplies last.
